A deck stain is only as good as the prep underneath it, and most contractors pressure-wash, let it dry an hour, and slap a coat on. Six months later it's peeling. We strip the old stain to bare wood, sand the surface flat, replace any failed boards or hardware, then brush — not spray — two coats of a premium penetrating stain into the grain. The result is a deck that sheds water, takes foot traffic, and still looks rich in color two summers from now.
